|"I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I am the oldest of four children. I was always a shy kid who was very interested in martial arts and soccer. One
day my father decided that I was going to learn salsa, and I honestly did not want to learn. I was always afraid of what people thought of me and if it was the cool thing. So we practiced everyday for an hour after school. I began to get frustrated bacause I was not like my father and sister, who have been dancing for a while. I began to see some progress in my dancing, all I needed was to get out of my comfort zone. After my father taught me all that he could, he put me into Salseros int. Where I was taught by Aidaliz Rivera who showed me how to move with the girl. Afterwards I was with Evelyn Figeuroa who fascinated me with her shines. Shortly after Edwin Muñoz was my teacher and showed me that the "woman is never wrong," and that I should always "show the love." As time progressed I learned many things from many friends that salsa has brought to me and I am now a teacher and dancer for Salseros int."
